At Neo Agency, a 60-second SaaS explainer in clean 2D motion costs $2,500, or $2,850 with a professional voiceover. Our Starter package ($2,900) adds a social cutdown on top. Length, animation style, add-ons and timeline move the price. The tables below show exactly how much.
What you're actually paying for
An explainer video looks like one thing, but it's six jobs in a row: understanding your product and your buyer, writing a script that makes sense in 60 seconds, designing the look (styleframes), animating every scene, adding voice and sound, and revising until it's right. The animation is only the most visible part.
That's why prices vary so much from one provider to the next. A template tool skips most of those jobs. A freelancer might do all of them alone, which takes longer. An agency splits them across specialists. When two quotes look very different, compare what's included, not just the total.
Price by length
These are our current prices for each type of video in clean 2D motion, before add-ons. 60 seconds is the length most homepage explainers use.
| Video type | 15 sec | 30 sec | 60 sec | 90 sec | 2 min |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Explainer video | $1,400 | $1,900 | $2,500 | $3,250 | $4,150 |
| Product demo | $1,250 | $1,750 | $2,300 | $3,000 | $3,800 |
| Ad or launch film | $1,600 | $2,200 | $2,900 | $3,750 | $4,800 |
| How-to video | $850 | $1,150 | $1,500 | $1,950 | $2,500 |
Notice that a 15-second video doesn't cost a quarter of a 60-second one. The thinking doesn't shrink with the length: strategy, script, design and sound still need doing.
How animation style changes the price
Style decides how much has to be built from scratch. Clean 2D uses type, shapes and simplified interface; illustrated and 3D styles need custom scenes, characters or renders.
| Style | Multiplier | 60-sec explainer |
|---|---|---|
| Clean 2D motion | ×1 | $2,500 |
| UI-driven motion | ×1.1 | $2,750 |
| Illustrated | ×1.35 | $3,400 |
| 3D & VFX | ×1.7 | $4,250 |

How to spend less without getting a worse video
- Give the video one job. One audience and one message keep the script short. Two messages usually means two videos.
- Start at 60 seconds. It's enough to land the value. Longer is rarely better for a homepage.
- Reuse your interface. A UI-driven style built from your real screens is often clearer than custom illustration, and costs less.
- Approve the script before animation. Changing words is cheap; changing finished scenes isn't.
- Plan your versions up front. If you'll need ads or other languages, a package or a combined quote costs less than ordering them one by one later.
What to check before you sign a quote
- Is the script included, or do you have to write it?
- How many revision rounds are included, and what counts as one?
- Is the voiceover licensed for ads as well as your website?
- Which formats and aspect ratios will you receive (16:9, 9:16, 1:1)?
- Can you get the source files if you need them later?
- Is the price fixed once you approve it, or an estimate that can grow?
At Neo Agency the answers are: script included, two revision rounds per video, every format you need, source files on request, and a fixed price once you approve your quote. You can estimate your own video in about a minute, or read how to brief a product video before you ask for quotes.
